Berry Practical is a new two-day event designed directly from grower feedback focused on practical, on-farm learning that growers and farm staff can apply immediately.
Berry Practical will focus on action-oriented learning, including:
planning farm improvements and expansion
recognising and responding to pest incursions
improving irrigation, water and nutrient management
using farm data to support better business decisions
understanding biosecurity and nursery stock quality
exploring new options for integrated pest and disease management
learning directly from growers, consultants, suppliers and industry experts
Simon Dornauf from Hillwood Berries will share his farm expansion experience, a project Ag Logic contributed to across most aspects, using precision GPS equipment and expertise to help design and mark out the layout of the new development. Simon will walk growers through the essential farm layout factors he considers when planning an expansion or mapping out a new property.
Marek will contribute to a Live Lab session in the afternoon, expanding on the recent irrigation monitoring workshop in the Yarra Valley in May.
