Ag Logic weather station and soil moisture probe network

Weather Station Network

Ag Logic’s network of weather stations is designed to give farmers access to local, quality weather data at a fraction of the cost of purchasing and running their own station.

Our stations are regularly calibrated and maintained. They are located in sites central to farming, so you can find a station near you.

The data is easily accessible through a web browser or the Wildeye smartphone app.

We provide:

  • Rainfall

  • Temperature

  • Wind speed

  • Wind direction

  • Evapotranspiration

  • Delta T

  • Soil moisture

Data is available in near-real time, with stations updating every 15 minutes

What is Evapotranspiration?

Evapotranspiration, or ETo, provides an estimate of how much water will be lost by plants in a day. Pasture managers can use the ETo number directly, and other crops will need to apply a correction factor based on crop age.

What is Delta T?

Spray droplets that dry too fast or too slowly will have an impact on efficacy. Delta T shows the optimal window for this, and when combined with wind speed can help identify the best time for spraying.

Subscription pricing

To view just one station, the price is $150 + GST per year. If you have multiple people from your farm wanting to see the same station each additional user can be added for $30 + GST per year.

If you want to see up to five stations in your area, the price is $400 per year + GST and additional staff are $65 + GST each per year.

If you want to see more than five stations, the price is $600 + GST per year and additional staff are $100 + GST each per year. We can customise your stations for you, based on the stations you select in the sign-in form.

If you’re working in an organisation where you think you’ll have more than 10 people wanting to subscribe, we can set up discounted rates for centralised billing.

We can also add displays for many of the Bureau of Meteorology stations around the state at no extra cost.

Access to weather station data fast tracks agtech adoption in Tasmania

  • "I base my entire business model around this tech because my main income stream revolves around the weather"

Chris Allchin, contract sprayer and sheep producer, Mount Direction

  • "I can’t imagine having our business now without our weather stations ... It sparked our interest to further expand our knowledge and our database and we now have two further moisture probes that have the probe as well as a rain gauge out in the paddock."

    Caitlin Radford, Cropping Farmer, Moriarty

  • “The weather station we have here measures a range of things – temperature, wind speed, rainfall, evapotranspiration, solar radiation, and soil moisture. I’m able to access that data through the Wildeye app so it’s very convenient on the phone, but I needed to know how to decipher it and how to really manage it. Ag Logic was there to help guide me through and explain how I could best use that data"

Brodie Hill, Diary Farmer, South Riana
