Gippsland Dairy Farmers - turning data into better irrigation decisions workshop

  • Agriculture Victoria Office 1 Stratford-Maffra Road Maffra, VIC, 3860 Australia (map)

This workshop is ideal for dairy farmers and advisers wanting clearer, evidence based decisions on irrigation and pasture management.

What we will cover:
- Understanding your soils and how they behave through the season
- Setting irrigation triggers and decision points for flood and pivot irrigation
- Benchmarking paddocks and seasons
- Improving soil health and WUE
- Strengthening pasture performance
- Using your own data with confidence

Join us for a practical, hands on workshop designed specifically for Gippsland dairy farmers. This session builds on the 2025 soil and pasture fundamentals workshop and takes the next step of a deep dive into real farm data. However, if you didn't attend that workshop, no problem, we'll catch you up.

Marek will work with local farmer data from the growing season, layer it over irrigation strategies, and compare it to pasture and crop performance.

This event is supported by Agriculture Victoria’s Drought Support Package. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
