Ballarat Annual Croppers Workshop - turning data into better irrigation decisions

  • Dean Hall and Mechanics Institute 1301 Ballarat-Daylesford Road Dean, VIC, 3363 Australia (map)

This workshop is ideal for farmers and advisers wanting clearer, evidence based decisions on irrigation management.

Take a evening break from spud harvesting and join us for dinner as we build on our previous irrigation workshop looking at irrigation scheduling around annual crops, including potatoes, pyrethrum and carrot seed.

Marek will work with local farmer data from the growing season, layer it over irrigation strategies, and compare it to pasture and crop performance.

What the workshop will cover:
- Reviewing the season with local potato and pyrethrum data
- How to replicate an ideal rainfall season through irrigation scheduling
- How to develop an irrigation plan heading into next season
- Strengthening crop and pasture performance
- Using your own data with confidence

This event is supported by Agriculture Victoria’s Drought Support Package. Light dinner and refreshments will be available.
